Levindale Open House: Walk-In Interviews on Tuesday

Tuesday, Oct. 20 | 10:00 a.m. – noon | Levindale Hospital, 2434 W. Belvedere Ave., Baltimore, MD 21215

Levindale is LifeBridge Health's geriatric hospital and care center in northwest Baltimore. Its event page calls Tuesday's open house a walk-in hiring event with on-the-spot interviews. Recruiters want geriatric nursing assistants, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech-language pathologists. New grads and experienced staff are both invited, and full-time and part-time roles are open.

The posted incentives are the reason to get there. GNAs start at $20 an hour, and LPN rates are higher. Sign-on bonuses run up to $10,000 for RNs and therapists, $5,000 for LPNs and $1,000 for GNAs. Parking is free, and the hospital is close to MTA bus stops.

Tuesday is two days away. The event page has an RSVP button, but the hospital is billing it as a walk-in, so you can come without one. Bring several printed copies of your resume.

Northwest Hospital: Emergency Nursing in Randallstown

Monday, Nov. 2 | 1:30 – 5:00 p.m. | Northwest Hospital, 5401 Old Court Rd., Randallstown, MD 21133

The second event is narrower. Northwest Hospital, on Old Court Road in Baltimore County, is hiring nurses for its emergency department and ED observation unit. The listing says you'll meet recruiters and department leaders and can schedule a shadow day. Northwest says its experienced RNs train nurses who are new to emergency care, so you don't need ER experience to come. The page doesn't mention walk-ins or on-the-spot interviews and doesn't post pay or bonuses. RSVP or send questions to the recruiter listed on the page, [email protected].

Two Virtual Events in November

LifeBridge also has two online events on its careers calendar, both joined from a phone or computer after an RSVP on the event page:

  • Nursing Support Career Fair, Thursday, Nov. 5, 10:00 a.m. – noon. Patient care associates for acute care units at Sinai Hospital need CNA-I or CNA-II status and a current American Heart Association BLS card. Critical care techs need one to three years of experience, a Maryland CNA license or an EMT certification, PCT certification and BLS.
  • Facilities and Maintenance Professionals Hiring Event, Thursday, Nov. 12, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. For groundskeepers, maintenance mechanics, stationary engineers, plumbers and electricians.
