Allied Health Career Connections: Wednesday, Nov. 4

2:00 – 6:00 p.m. | Belcher Pavilion, 2000 Medical Parkway, Annapolis

The first event is the wider door. Luminis Health bills it as a chance to explore career paths and network with people already working in its allied health departments, aimed at both newcomers and people ready to make a move. It runs four hours, so you can come straight from a day shift. What it is not, at least on paper: a posted list of open roles or a promise of interviews. The listing names neither, so treat it as a networking and fact-finding afternoon and apply online for anything that fits before you go. Sign up on the Allied Health Career Connections registration page.

In-Person Nursing Hiring Event: Wednesday, Nov. 11

4:00 – 6:00 p.m. | Belcher Pavilion, Doordan Institute, 7th Floor, 2000 Medical Parkway, Annapolis

This is the one with interviews. Luminis Health is recruiting staff registered nurses and graduate nurses, and hiring managers will interview on the spot. Experienced RNs and new grads are both welcome. The hospital asks you to bring several copies of your resume, and the listing says benefits and sign-on bonuses will be discussed, though no dollar figures are posted. To get to the room, park in Garage E, take the garage elevators to the hospital entrance on the second floor, walk past the gift shop and customer service desk, then ride up to the seventh floor. Register on the nursing hiring event page. The Maryland Department of Labor's job fair calendar carries this event too.

💪 Why Annapolis Is Worth the Drive

Anne Arundel Medical Center earned its third Magnet designation for nursing excellence in April 2024, according to Luminis Health Careers. For a Baltimore nurse weighing a commute down I-97 or Route 2, that recognition is a fair signal of how a hospital treats its nursing staff. If you work in Glen Burnie, Severna Park or Arnold, the campus is already closer than downtown.

Prince George's County readers have a third option: Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center in Lanham holds its own nursing hiring event on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Different hospital, different week, same idea.
